  • The Senior Manager of Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) is responsible for developing and managing supply chain project plans for program business while working with cross-functional teams to drive operational and financial excellence. This individual will be an exceptional contributor capable of developing and articulating the company’s SIOP direction, while putting in place the appropriate policies, procedures, and practices to execute against plan, and holding him or herself and the organization accountable for its results.

  • The role has responsibility for supply planning and capacity planning and will develop internal processes to control inventory and expenses, improve efficiencies, reduce redundancy, enhance product availability, and ultimately improve customer service and lower product cost.


  • Drive operational excellence and consistency across all related functional areas through the implementation and development of best-in-class supply chain management, inventory systems, and standard business planning processes and tools

  • Collaborate with SIOP, Executive Leadership, Product Management, and regional and local Sales Teams to ensure that all supply plans are in alignment from a top-level perspective to a more detailed customer level

  • Lead the process to develop a robust operational supply plan to support program business projects such as rollouts, resets, and store expansions

  • Review program business forecasts with key stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Operations, Product Management. and Procurement) providing an overview of approach and integrating feedback as needed

  • Facilitate the implementation of best-in-class inventory management processes; including inventory planning and inventory optimization

  • Lead inventory planning, supply issues, and future product availability impacting the sales forecast

  • Manage POS and channel inventory data and analytics

  • Evaluate risks; plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate

  • Support planning teams and intercompany supply chain organizations in designing business processes to optimize the availability and reliability of planning information, of supply chain systems, the availability and reliability of planning information, key performance indicators, and other SIOP systems

  • Support the analysis and development of tools for planning and execution teams

  • Act as the project manager for all end of life changes for major program products

  • Partner with finance teams to dollarize key SIOP metrics and forecasts for unconstrained sales, constrained sales, and gross margin, inventory, purchasing, and cash

  • Act as a business leader for SIOP systems configuration, implementations, and issues

  • Lead collaboration of forecasting, supply planning, and purchasing teams to understand and analyze major SIOP issues; create action plans for supply chain projects and program business

  • Work closely with the business intelligence team in the development and maintenance of the data warehouse and analytical reporting tools

  • Provide analytical support for major supply chain initiatives and projects

  • Provide analytical support for SIOP special projects and initiatives

  • Develop capability to accurately forecast supply

  • Execute strategies and activities such as managing inventory controls and master scheduling

  • Ensure a high degree of communication and coordination between the SIOP, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Product Management organizations

  • Partner with Sales to manage aged inventory controls and continuous improvement

  • Identify and develop customer-focused processes which ensure the integration of technological and commercial considerations in the process

  • Support and/or lead department in the continuous improvement initiatives across the company

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, economics, statistics, business analytics, decision sciences or a comparable discipline; advanced degree and/or professional certification in supply chain preferred (APICS or IBF certification)

  • 5-10+ years of experience in a supply chain function supporting supply planning, capacity planning, inventory management, demand planning, and customer service

  • Prior experience in project management, product planning, production control, inventory management, or production / manufacturing operations is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience using sophisticated Forecasting, Planning, and MRP/ERP system; SAP ECC and SAP APO experience is ideal

  • Expertise in the development and use of inventory effectiveness analytics

  • A strong working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business acumen

  • Ability to lead peers and senior management in all facets of supply and demand planning institutions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Six Sigma certification, LEAN, or TPM experience preferred

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products; knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, SAP APO, SAP ECC and SAP BOBJ preferred
