  • This person will play a critical role in the design and implementation of the JDA Sequencing software at The Client’s sites and will help set the strategic direction for the overall detailed scheduling processes across the Global Clients supply chain. This will include Clients manufacturing, co-packing and co-manufacturing facilities.

  • The detailed scheduling function creates and manages the manufacturing production schedules striking a balance between the supply plan requirements and the effective and efficient use of manufacturing resources. The position will work seamlessly across all levels of the Client’s supply chain organization to help successfully execute project deliverables and objectives.


Summary of major duties:


  • Provide supply chain experience, specifically shop floor understanding and leadership, during all phase of a Detailed Scheduling Implementation. This would include the development of the future state, the creation of prototype modeling to prove out system capabilities, the global implementation and subsequent stabilization efforts. Change management will be critical for the successful implementation of this project. A steady hand providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to Operations Planners as they progress from current to future state.

  • Be able to understand, translate, and communicate detailed shop floor and manufacturing system/process activities. Translate these requirements into a feasible solution design. Configure, test, and validate the future state solution with key stakeholders of the Client’s organization.

  • Oversee the development and execution of fully integrated operational, tactical, and strategic supply plans for key resources. Develop and share standardized work and processes across the globe. Develop and provide training as needed. Serve as the liaison with the manufacturing facilities and Supply Planning groups through all aspects of the plan development and execution process. Maintains and monitors key performance indicators.

  • Evaluate and implement appropriate system tools/technology and methodologies to assist in optimizing finite scheduling processes and tools. Stay abreast of developing technologies and changing market conditions to ensure Client’s key planning processes and tools support the changing needs of the business and continue to provide for a fully integrated business solution.

  • Independently lead teams and demonstrate leadership by embracing new ideas/concepts/processes and sharing best practices. Serve as a thought leader and mentor to department staff and other internal customers. Develop, maintain, and leverage personal networks to maximize contributions.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:


  • JDA Sequencing implementation experience

  • In depth knowledge of JDA Sequencing and detailed scheduling processes

  • Advanced Supply Chain body of knowledge and the ability to work cross-functionally with the entire Client Supply Chain

  • Key understanding / experience within a shop floor / factory floor environment

  • Ability to absorb new manufacturing systems and operations quickly to facilitate translation of requirements and configurations under tight timelines

  • Advanced knowledge of general Consumer Packaged Goods supply chain structure and capabilities (or similar production environments)

  • Working knowledge of the main elements defined within the MRP Processes

  • Knowledge of the systems/applications supporting the MRP Processes including SAP - Material Master, BOM’s, Routings and Safety Stock

  • Strong presentation, training, and communication skills

  • Ability to design business activities along a process orientation

  • Extensive use of strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate information across a diverse work group including senior level management.

  • Develop information available from business systems to support metric design/definition, process checks, and ad hoc queries.

  • Ability to successfully plan and implement training and education curriculums to a diverse audience.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships and influence across the organization

  • Strong track record of leading people to meet company goals
