Spinnaker SCA is now hiring for a JDA/Blue Yonder Cognos Supply Chain Report Writing Consultant

Job Description:

• Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager Models and Data Modules (Relational and Dimensional) to support business requirements

• Provide support for the creation business intelligence and analysis reports performing duties that include report development, maintenance, and performance management.

• The Cognos Developer is responsible for the design, development and deployment of multi-dimensional reports

• Possess working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse concepts and integration

• Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution

• Coordinating with testers and release management to integrate the new reports/dashboards into production

• Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager models to support business requirements.

• Responsible for developing Cognos reports/dashboards to meet the needs of stake holders

• Working with business users to design and develop Cognos BI 11 reports using Report Studio with data drill-down and slice-and-dice options.

• WIll be involved with production support, troubleshooting and creating new reports

• Preferred knowledge of report creation leveraging Supply Chain related data that includes elements such as

• Forecast Performance measures

• Inventory position reporting

• Service Level and On-time performance reporting

• Supply Chain Exception reporting

• Provide insights on the overall BI strategy

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in a developer role with Cognos

• Experience

• Manage, configure and support application software modules used for data import/export procedures for state and federal reporting.

• Lead workflow resolution, automating process by effectively routing information to appropriate queues with sufficient flexibility to handle exceptions.

• Configure analytics repository with logical dimensional modeling using star schema.

• Potential migration of models and cubes to UNIX and/or LINUX production servers.

• Used Cognos SDK validation tool to validate the reports in the content store.

• Assist in implementing Cognos SDK application to save the reports to windows file system.

• Validate the results of analysis using physical SQL in toad and verify the join conditions and filters to get exact results.

• Involve in writing the test cases and also assist the users in performing UAT.

• Star schema grouping is done to join many fact tables with set of dimensions.

• Complete technical work as require includes changes to PL/SQL, alerts, and interfaces.

• Used UNIX shell scripts to refresh the cubes to reflect current data for business.
