Job Description:

Our services help clients develop the right supply chain strategy for their business challenges and implement the process and technology solutions to improve Demand/Supply Planning, Procurement and Sourcing, Logistics and Warehousing, and Reverse Logistics business performance. Spinnaker SCA has an immediate job opening for a Senior Manager in the firm’s Management Consulting practice with deep supply chain planning background as well as strong experience driving operational continuous improvement projects. Specific process design and transformation expertise related to S&OP, Demand, Supply, Inventory, and Replenishment Planning in retail, consumer products, and high tech environments is sought.
The right candidate will be someone who can manage both sales processes and project delivery to help clients drive tangible business results. This position can be located in any major metropolitan region of the U.S.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Delivery
Service as a trusted adviser for senior executives at Spinnaker clients
Participate in consulting engagements as a subject matter expert for Planning and Operational Improvement project initiatives
Provide industry best practice knowledge for client initiatives in the Consumer Products, Consumer Electronics & Retail, Food & Bev, Grocery, Energy, Oil & Gas, High Tech & Semiconductor, Industrial Manufacturing, Medical & Pharmaceutical, and Telecommunications industry verticals
Perform the role of Project Lead, Track Lead or Solution Architect for client engagements.
Sales Support and Account Management
Support the opportunity and lead generation process for consulting opportunities for Spinnaker’s supply chain focused management consulting practice.
Lead the nurturing and maturing of client and prospect relationships
Support the development of sales documents including: Service Proposals, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Incremental project change requests
Support the development of marketing campaigns and collateral
Provide oversight for 1-3 current Spinnaker clients
Conduct project tracking and client management meetings for active clients
Practice Building
Take part in industry related conferences as a participant, speaker, or round table member in order to gain specific industry insight or establish credibility to improve Spinnaker brand awareness
Drive Thought Leadership through white paper development and publications
Development of standardized delivery implementation templates
Interaction with Industry Analysts
Maintenance of delivery repository for new and existing work product and practice aides
Resource Management
Support with the development of employee goals and career roadmaps
Provide day to day to support to manage user activities and escalations
Provide employee mentoring to achieve both short term improvements and long term goals
Support employee community building activities
Support the recruiting interviewing and on-boarding process for new W2 and 1099 employees
Resource training
Required Competencies
Ability to take somewhat vague circumstances or client requirements and formulate clear project objectives and approaches and drive successful projects
Quantitative and analytical skills (financial analysis, mathematical modeling and statistics, etc.)
Strong problem solving skills (ability to follow a DMAIC process – define, measure, analyze, improve, control)
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Presentation abilities (up to CxO levels)
Ability to work and communicate well with all levels of an organization
Specific knowledge of common change management doctrines and best practices
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree desired
Strong functional knowledge (7+ years) of S&OP and Demand/Supply Planning
Broad operations management and continuous improve experience including manufacturing and distribution process improvement methodologies (i.e. experience with lean, six sigma, etc.)
Technology implementation experience (Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9, OMP, SAP, Oracle, Logility, etc.) This is not a technology implementation role; however the background knowledge is important to driving successful business process transformations.
Implementation experience in key client industries especially Consumer Products, High Tech, Consumer Electronics, and Retail
