Location: Alpharetta, GA or Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6 months with possible extension (2 days a week in office, 3 days remote – will change to more on site)

Summary:
Provides long term planning analysis and direction to manage supply vs. demand across manufacturing locations resulting in high on-time delivery and level loading of manufacturing assets.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitors, analyzes and maintains key planning parameters including lead times and safety stocks.
Profiles inventory including the identification of excess and obsolete inventory and aged WIP and creates action plan to address problem areas.
Perform root cause analysis and develops appropriate countermeasures for key metric misses including On-time Delivery, Aged WIP, Schedule Conformance and Excess Inventory.
Supports S&OP process for production lines. This includes long range capacity planning models utilizing sales forecast, production capability and inventory.
Identifies critical capacity bottlenecks in the short, medium- and long-term planning horizons and recommends solutions to resolve bottlenecks for production lines.
Supports manufacturing plans to level load key production assets allowing for more efficient manufacturing runs and effective use of labor.
Determines and manages optimal inventory levels to achieve desired customer service levels in a hybrid Make-to-Order and Make-to-Stock planning environment for production lines.
Maintains effective oversight and disposition of slow moving and obsolete inventory.
Analyzes inventory and supply issues for root causes and takes corrective actions to resolve.
Ensures accurate planning data in ERP system to drive effective use of systems tools for planning.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Planning or similar degree with 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or other related fields
APICS Certification preferred
Required Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of business management systems, standards and techniques.
Strong working knowledge of MRP systems
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work cross functionally and across regions to influence others to achieve business
Ability to work on multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and set priorities while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Established skills with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas), ERP, other planning tools
APICS Certification is preferred
Excellent organizational skills required
Demonstrates agility within a dynamic environment
