Job Description


At SpinnakerSCA the Solution Architect is a senior role responsible for the definition of solutions for clients typically leveraging market leading supply chain packaged software. The supply chain Solution Architect develops and implements solutions for customer across multiple supply chain business areas / verticals leading and owning all the functional solution-based deliverables across all phases of the project from blueprinting, design, process definition, configuration, training, testing, go-live and hyper-care. This role requires a strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, a high level of insight into today’s supply chain market, especially leading practices. The role requires excellent communication skills, collaboration skills, goal and benefit focus, a pragmatic approach, and a teaming style to all activities. We require all Solution Architects to demonstrate superior skills in MS Powerpoint, MS Excel, demonstrated ability to be totally effective working in a remote environment using remote tools such as MS Teams, as well as a willingness to travel up to 80%


Responsibilities


  • Owns and drives the functional solution (process, metrics, policies, and configured software) defined, configured, and provided to the client through all phases of the project from blueprinting to hyper-care.

  • Works collaboratively with the technical architect, technical teams, project manager and provides leadership and management for any business analysts assigned to the project.

  • Owns the delivery, quality, cohesiveness, and timeliness of all functional documents within the project.

  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of configuring one or more of the following software packages; Kinaxis Rapid Response, o9 Solutions, or Blue Yonder.

  • Proactively inject leading practices and provide knowledge of integrating Kinaxis Rapid Response, o9 Solutions, or Blue Yonder with ERP systems for both Inbound and Outbound Interfaces, workflows, preparation of detailed functional specifications.

  • Proactive ability to solves complex business problems.

  • Closely follows strategic direction set by senior management when establishing client goals.

  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within SpinnakerSCA on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.

  • Manages large to medium sized Supply Chain Planning Business Solutions

  • Support Change Management activities to include client training, process definition, etc

  • Owns the testing strategy and plan, test definition, test scripts and testing process, supporting the client and SpinnakerSCA teams to ensure a successful outcome.

  • Owns the functional activities for go-live and hyper-care ensuring an overall successful deployment and customer adoption


Experience & Skills / Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of job experience.

  • Implementation experience in key client industries especially Consumer Products, High Tech, Consumer Electronics, Pharma, Medical Devices, and Retail

  • Performed the role of Solution Architect or lead solution consultant for at least 3 years on any Supply chain planning software, most relevant are BY, Kinaxis, 09, SAP, etc.

  • Experience as the functional lead on of all phases of a supply chain planning implementation project.

  • An appreciation for data required for planning systems, as well as a complete understanding of Supply Chain processes in the following areas: AOP, S&OP, Demand Planning, and Forecasting, Supply Planning, Production Planning and Finite Scheduling

  • Knowledge in a specific vertical but preferably two; CPG, Industrial, Retail, Pharma, Medical Devices, Distribution, etc.

  • Able to lead sessions with the customer to understand “as-is” processes, build and document “to-be” processes, define detailed processes that align to technology functionality and be able to translate the requirements of the processes to configuration specialists.

  • Provide thought leadership in the area of supply chain planning to build confidence with the customer and work towards trusted advisor status

  • Excellent communications skills; verbal, written and PowerPoint

  • A team player and self-starter open to working in a flat matrixed structure

  • Experience of agile implementation methodologies


Must haves:


  • Prior experience of performing the role of Solution Architect or lead solution consultant for at least 3 years on any supply chain planning software, most relevant are Blue Yonder, Kinaxis or o9 Solutions

  • Experience as the Solution Architect or functional lead for all phases of a Supply Chain Planning implementation project. Experience of a minimum of 6 implementations is desirable, more than 3 implementations is required

  • An appreciation for data required for planning systems, as well as a complete understanding of Supply Chain processes in the following areas: AOP, S&OP, Demand Planning and Forecasting, Supply Planning, Production Planning and Finite Scheduling

  • Knowledge of a specific vertical, preferably two of the following CPG, Industrial, Retail, Medical Devices, Pharma, Distribution

  • Proven ability to lead blueprinting sessions engaging customer resources to understand and proactively document and validate “as-is” processes, build and document “to-be” processes, translate blueprinting to high-level design and detailed design

  • Work cohesively with technical and data members of the team to define detailed processes that align to functionality and be able to translate the requirements of the processes to configuration specialists.

  • Provide thought leadership and leading practices in the area of supply chain planning to build confidence with the customer and become their trusted advisor

  • Excellent communications skills; verbal, written and powerpoint

  • A team player and self-starter who is open to working in a matrixed structure

  • Experience of agile implementation methodologies in a packaged software environment, preferable supply chain
