Warehouse Management Lead Consultant (Manhattan Active WMS)


Experience Level: Min 5+ Years of Manhattan WMS, Direct implementation experience with cloud-native Manhattan Active WMS


Job Function: Warehouse Management Implementation Lead Consultant


Min Degree: Bachelor’s in engineering or Information Systems or equivalent work experience


Preferred Degree: BS/BA or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Distribution Ops leadership / Logistics or Supply Chain or related discipline


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Manhattan Associates (MA) Warehouse Management System (WM Active), based on an in-depth knowledge of application features/functions and the unique business requirements of the client.

  • Use this expertise to understand the requirements expressed by the business, translate the requirements into solutions, and work with the business colleagues to manage the resulting change.

  • Prior Operations Experience crucial, candidate must be able to manage implementation from business operations standpoint and also has application knowledge.

  • Delivering business results that reflects creative thinking, problem solving, individual initiative and the following abilities:

  • Managing requirement documents, issues list, and providing project status updates.

  • Identify functional and technical requirements of the MA WMS Active application for retail, ecommerce, and wholesale distribution channels.

  • Have a basic understanding of operational processes, business processes and information flows required to produce an effective supply chain.

  • Review integration mapping documents and validate integration testing results are as expected.

  • Manage and produce the basic functional and technical design documents.

  • Validate basic Technical Design documents in collaboration with developers.

  • Facilitate and support functional acceptance testing: test plan, test data, expected results and acceptance criteria.

  • Engaging in a contributor role to practice growth through white paper, case study, proposal, and statement of work development.

  • Building solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive teamwork environment, leverage diverse views to encourage innovation and help develop and grow team members throughout the course of every engagement by providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.


Experience & Skills:


  • Full capability to engage with all MA WMS Active functionality at a Super User level using one or more of the following systems:

  • Preferred: Manhattan Associates (MA) WM Active

  • Manhattan Associates, Red Prairie/JDA/BY, HighJump, or similar

  • 5+ year experience in Consulting or Industry

  • Warehouse Operations Experience

  • Use of technique and skill set of Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder (JDA - Red Prairie), Tier 1 Warehouse Software or similar in the following areas:

  • Works directly with the customer project team (primarily on site) during configuration, testing, training, and implementation phases.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues that arise during the implementation.

  • Works independently on smaller, moderately complex projects/assignments that have direct impact on project results and client success.

  • Works with customer to test and implement interfaces between MA products or external systems.

  • Captures and escalates project issues with clear and accurate details.

  • Facilitates design for client specific enhancements.

  • Performs professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting basic issues.

  • Identifies problems and suggests possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve.

  • Plans basic aspects of work within specified deadlines with some need to change the priorities.

  • Has basic knowledge of supply chain solutions and processes.

  • TRAVEL: 50% - 75%
