Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Marketing is responsible for driving awareness, enhancing perception, creating demand, and enabling sales and partner channels for Spinnaker SCA.


Experience / Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution is required, preferably in marketing, communications, or similar discipline. At least 7 years of marketing experience promoting enterprise software applications and experience working as a regional part of a global team. Proven track record of effectively marketing software applications is mandatory


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Spearhead regional marketing plan and budget

• Ensure tight alignment with sales plan and ensure tight integration into the overarching global marketing plan and budget

• Drive brand awareness by identifying and briefing industry analyst thought leaders and influential members of the press – and finding press article opportunities

• Drive awareness through online banner advertising in the optimal publications and within related membership groups

• Team with corporate marketing to effectively leverage SEO and to ensure that a region is properly represented in digital/social media outreach, in written documents, and in signage

• Find, justify, and support regional events; articulate branded messaging and drive breakout sessions

• Analyzing market dynamics, target buyers and industries as input to defining segment focused programs and messaging to develop a demand generation strategy to achieve objectives

• Team with global marketing teammates to create and launch integrated, multi-hit lead generation campaigns. Work with sales staff to create content used in micro-campaigns and to reduce sales cycle time

• Use available tools to track and report performance indicators (i.e., PipeDrive and Act-On)

• Localize brochures and other documents for optimization in region

• Ensure that the Spinnaker SCA websites accurately reflect international and US content

• Provide periodic blogs and social media posts to ensure a globally balanced communication tempo

• Create and deliver sales enablement information on an ongoing basis


Required Competencies


• Keen understanding of how the broad elements of marketing fit together, and in turn, executes integrated, multi-hit programs to escalate awareness, grow demand, and empower sales

• Great promotor and enthusiastic company evangelist, with an ability to inspire prospects, industry analysts, press and media, partners, and employees

• Ability to pull out the voice of the customer, through quotes, case studies, surveys, etc.

• Encompass a senior level grasp of the business/enterprise software space, including the services that maintain and manage the applications

• Ability to work well with marketing teammates located in other geographic locations; leverage what others are doing while also contributing new ideas that others can leverage

• Ability to drive an ongoing positive balance between corporate and regional concerns – uniting the two is an important success factor


Skills:


• Experience with Act-on, PipeDrive or similar CRM and marketing automation applications

• Proven technical writer, strong and credible communicator
