Job Overview:


As a Senior Demand Planning Data & Analytics Consultant, the consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of Client’s Demand Planning operations while supporting the implementation of client’s Demand Planning system (Kinaxis) in 2024.

The consultant will ensure that the demand planning team delivers to its customers the right (lowest level of granularity and on time) demand plan to drive Client’s operations and other S&OP/S&OE activities. You will bring expertise and experience to support the implementation of Kinaxis regarding all aspects of data, metrics and reporting capabilities.

You will also provide the required data and analytics to enable a continuous improvement mindset and execution by Client’s demand planning teams for performance and more efficiency in Client’s current and future ways of working and partner with the Demand Planning director and the Demand planning excellence Lead to achieve these goals.



Responsibilities:


  • Support the implementation of the integrated planning system Kinaxis:

  • Manage and execute master data cleansing activity.

  • Manage and execute cleansing of historical outliers.

  • Build seasonality profile at different level of the product and customer hierarchy and throughout the lifecycle

  • Support the transition of reporting from excel to Kinaxis.

  • Support the implementation of disaggregation matrix

  • Prepare the parameters for the statistical models and help identify the right parameters by product.

  • Support the training documentation preparation.

  • Owns the Submission of the Demand Plan to customers

  • Reconciliate of all demand plans (by channel, by region, by category, by time horizon) into one Demand plan and properly submit to Supply Planning teams

  • Owns and Execute the disaggregation of all plans to the lowest level of granularity.

  • Drive process and system optimization for all disaggregation matrix to improve FA and process efficiency

  • Prepare demand planning input for budget, trend, and strategic & operational S&OP for the Supply Chain, Business and Financial communities

  • Connect with demand plan’s customers to ensure proper handoff of the plan following Client’s process.

  • Reporting and Metrics

  • Build and Execute Demand planning official metrics and reporting tools

  • Drive improvement of metrics and reporting tool for better data consumption and process efficiency

  • Support Global Demand Planning teams on all Analytic needs

  • Coach and support Global demand planning team for any analytical needs

  • Assist Demand Planning Managers and Director in facilitating monthly Demand Review meetings which may include preparing all data and metrics for review, identifying gaps and scenarios that must be presented, facilitating decision making on open items and trade-offs, and ensuring action is taken on agreed to action items.

  • Be the Global Demand Planning Analytics SME

  • Act as a key contributor in the development of demand planning best practices to identify, standardize and automate key planning inputs

  • Contribute to the Global Demand Planning Community by developing Demand Planning Excellence program and participating in cross-functional project teams

  • Drive Global Demand planning team efficiency (process, system, people) and continuous improvement

  • Ensure data (master data, transactional data, reference data) needed are properly collected and validated to provide support for future modeling and achieve forecast accuracy objectives.

  • Enable forecast accuracy analysis (FA% and Bias%) and RCA through the use of analytics

  • Review performance metrics to assess how S&OP plans are tracking against goals, and work with the functional planning groups to improve their processes to meet the goals

  • Mentor and train team members and cross-functional partners on the tools, systems, and processes within the Integrated Planning team

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key internal customers based on trust and confidence


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline or equivalent combination of experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a planning related field including use of:

  • Demand Planning systems leveraging statistical and collaborative forecasting methods.

  • Sell in and sell out units forecasting

  • Forecast Bias, forecast accuracy metrics and root cause analysis

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with an aptitude for report-building, data mining, interpretation and recommendations based on their own analysis. Strong computer and quantitative skills, including:

  • Alteryx, Tableau, SQL and Power BI or any other Data warehouse/analytics system

  • Excel – Intermediate/advanced level

  • ERP

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, demonstrating strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Displays strong initiative with a curiosity for learning and challenging the norm with an innovative mindset
